Reservations

  • Advance booking recommended, especially during peak seasons
  • Minimum 2-night accomodation during weekends and holidays
  • Check-in time: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM| Check-out time: 10:00 AM
  • Early check-in and late check-out subject to availability

Payment Terms

  • 50% deposit required to secure booking
  • Balance due on arrival or 7 days before check-in
  • Payment accepted: Cash, Card, EFT
  • Group bookings require different payment terms

Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellation

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in
  • 50% refund for cancellations 24-48 hours before arrival
  • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of check-in
  • No-shows forfeit entire booking amount

Peak Season Policy

  • 7-day cancellation notice required during peak season
  • Peak seasons: December holidays, Easter weekend, school holidays
  • 50% refund for cancellations 3-7 days before arrival
  • Special event weekends have stricter policies

Weather Conditions

  • Flexible policy for severe weather conditions
  • Road closures due to weather allow full refund
  • Travel advisories considered on case-by-case basis

What types of accommodation do you offer?

We offer traditional thatched rondavels (sleeping 2-3 guests), family units with full kitchens (sleeping 4-5 guests), and budget-friendly train coach dormitories (sleeping 6-8 guests).

Do you provide meals?

We offer breakfast on request. Family units have full self-catering facilities. There are excellent restaurants in Graskop (5 minutes away) and we can recommend local dining options.

Is WiFi available?

Yes, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property, though speeds may vary due to our mountain location.

Can you arrange safari tours?

Absolutely! We can arrange day trips to Kruger National Park, Panorama Route tours, and various adventure activities. Our reception team can help with bookings and recommendations.

What should I pack?

Pack layers for varying mountain weather, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and a camera. We provide bedding and towels. Bring warm clothes for winter evenings.

Is the lodge family-friendly?

Yes! We welcome families and have accommodations suitable for children. Our family units are perfect for larger groups, and the area offers many family-friendly activities.

What's the weather like?

Mpumalanga has a subtropical highland climate. Summers (Oct-Mar) are warm and wet, winters (Apr-Sep) are mild and dry. Temperatures range from 5-25°C depending on season.

Do you accept pets?

Unfortunately, we don't allow pets in our accommodations to ensure all guests can enjoy their accomodation comfortably.
